NGS CORI POLICY
It is a Massachusetts state requirement and Newton Girls Softball policy that all Board members, coaches, and other adults (anyone aged 18 or older) who may have direct access to players and/or players' information must have a Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check each year. A CORI check must be completed prior to the volunteer or hired worker having any contact with players or player information and a new check will be done before each Spring season.
The volunteer needs to submit their details to NGS once. NGS will conduct a CORI check each year that you choose to volunteer. Even if you have coached or assisted in the past, please send Caroline your information and a photo copy of your valid driver's license.

Game Rules
Much thought has been given to the development of our policies and game rules. They are designed to support the values of Newton Girls Softball. At each grade level the rules become a bit more challenging and closer to regulation ASA fastpitch softball rules. Our rules work well for the vast majority of our players. Understanding, respecting, and adhering to NGS game rules is an expectation for everyone involved.
